Abstract
V diplomski nalogi je predstavljena motorna kosa kot orodje za delo v gozdu, predvsem kot orodje za izvedbo prvega redčenja in za čiščenje tras daljnovodov. V začetku naloge je predstavljena kratka zgodovina motornih kos in njihov razvoj. Ker so se razvijale skupaj z razvojem motorne tage (isti pogonski agregat) so bile sprva tetje in okorne. Nadalje je v nalogi predstavljena kratka zgodovina dveh vodilnih proizvajalcev motornih kos Stihl in Husqvarno ter opisane nekatere izboljšave, ki so se pojavljale od leta 1986do danes. Podrobneje je opisana tudi varna tehnika dela z motorno koso v odvisnosti od terena na katerem opravljamo čiščenje. V zaključku naloge je predstavljena raziskava, v kateri je prikazana primerjava učinkov izkušenega in neizkušenega delavca pri delu z motorno koso. Povprečna učinkovitost pri neizkušenem delavcu je znašala 181 m2/ou., pri izkušenem pa 265 m2/ou.

Abstract:
In graduating thesis brushcutter is presented as a tool for working in the forests, mainly as a tool for pre commercial thinning and sawing undergrowth, under electricity transmission lines. In the beginning of the thesis a historyof brushcutters and their development, is presented. As they evolved with the development of chain saws (the samw power unit), were at first very heavy and clumsy. Furthermore, there is presented a brief history of two leading manufacturers of clearing saws, Stihl and Husqvarna. Some improvementswere described, that have occurred since 1986 until today. More specifically, forestry technique for clearing saws were described, depending on the terrain on wich clearing was performed. In conclusion, the study is presented in which effects of experienced and inexperienced worker to work with clearing saw is compared. The average efficency of inexperienced worker was 181 m2/machine hour and efficency for experienced was 265 m2/machine hour.
