Abstract
V diplomskem delu je predstavljena vloga grofov Celjskih v Hrvaškem Zagorju. Zajema krajši kronološki oris zgodovine Celjskih grofov in Hrvaškega Zagorja do združitve njunih poti v letu 1397, ko Celjski pridobijo prva posestva na tem območju.

Title:Counts of Celje in Croatia Zagorje
Abstract:
The thesis presents the role of the Counts of Celje in the Croatian Zagorje region. It includes a brief chronological overview of the history of the Counts of Celje and the Croatian Zagorje until their paths converged in 1397, when the Counts of Celje acquired their first estates in this area. The connection between the Counts of Celje and the Hungarian King Sigismund of Luxembourg is also discussed, which led to the acquisition of territories and the subsequent establishment of the County of Zagorje. The role of the Counts of Celje, their administration, status, and operations in the county are examined. Important fortifications in the County of Zagorje are described, including their residence, Krapina. The successful story of the Celje dynasty, which ended in 1456 with the assassination of their last male descendant, Ulrich II, also marked the gradual decline and conclusion of the County of Zagorje, which was abolished in 1488.
