The diploma thesis deals with the events in Carinthia, from the collapse of the Habsburg Empire to the final decision for the plebiscite in Paris. It focuses on the military struggles between German Austria and the State, or the Kingdom of the SHS, and their diplomatic "clash." The author shows the attitude of the National Government and the later Land Government towards military, diplomatic, and political problems in relation to the Land. For this purpose, the author analyzed the Session Minutes of the National Government of the SHS, articles from the newspaper Mir, the memoirs of Colonel Ljubomir Marić, and selected sources from the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia.
