Abstract

Title:Blasting technology and environmental impacts during excavation of T1 tunnel on 2nd track route Divača Koper : master's thesis
Abstract:
The main purpose and goals of the master's thesis are the presentation of blasting technology in the T1 tunnel and the demonstration of the success of blasting and the impact it has on the environment. The master's thesis will contain a presentation of the entire blasting process with safety measures. It will cover the process of blasting with the exact and future used explosives, explosives, the method of binding and activation, as well as the safety measures that must be taken into account when blasting and when manipulating explosive substances. Blasting in the T1 tunnel with all its potential dangers is definitely one of the more demanding jobs, so during the blasting or the preparation of the minefield and the launching of the mines, due to the specificity of the work, everyone must comply with blasting safety measures. An important topic will also be the processing of seismic impact data processed in the Deepsoil program. DeepSoil is a software tool commonly used to model geotechnical problems, including situations where construction work is being carried out, such as tunnel blasting. When modeling uncertainties for vibrations resulting from blasting in tunnels, engineers consider uncertainties in soil characteristics, explosive parameters, and other factors. This is usually achieved by using probability distributions for the relevant parameters. Simulation is then performed using probabilistic simulation methods or the finite element method with probabilistic modules. These tools allow engineers to assess a wide range of possible scenarios and identify potential risks and effects on surrounding structures. Based on the results of the analysis, appropriate measures can be taken to reduce the risk of damage.
