The brass band first appeared at the end of the 18th century when the industrial revolution was flourishing in England. It developed along the lines of smaller string and wind ensembles. The revolution itself greatly contributed to the development of brass instruments as the machinery that mainly produces valves for trumpets, horns and tubas was greatly modernized. We will also talk about the meaning and the effect of brass bands on society and on the individual itself. By reason of the phrase in question or type of orchestra in Slovenia is a newer and relatively unknown thing, I will sometimes, for the sake of a better performance, equate or compare brass band to a wind orchestra, which is basically a brass band with a more extended lineup and is very well known in Slovenia. The rich history and tradition will also be presented, that include the interweaving of some of the world's countries in which the brass band has been present for a long time. We will highlight the authenticity of each country taking into consideration that the brass band develops and changes in almost every country.
