In my thesis, I explore the issue of noise pollution in underground railway station spaces. In the analytical phase, I present the fundamentals of sound, perception, user behavior, spatial acoustics, and sound insulation. Based on the research, I then proceed to design a solution that relies on the findings, basic techniques for reducing noise pollution, and an interesting design task with the key objective of contributing to the reduction and control of sound levels.
