The master's thesis, entitled Designing sculptural furniture, is a work of a practical type. It is a collection of research over 3 academic years on the unique design program. The assignment is a design-artistic work that explores the spaces of design, art and architecture. It researches the development of useful sculpture in public and private space and the development of the sculptural furniture trend. The final product of the research is a functional sculpture or sculptural furniture Fletn.11, which represents a sculpture and a furniture element. The work is an interweaving of two materials and, as a result, two different design approaches. The main material is ceramics, which was the main material of my study. In combination with acrylic plastic, they allowed me to express myself artistically and explore their importance in the contemporary art space. The form is a modularly assembled interweaving of abstract architectural elements that combine into a physical and metaphorical interspace between the exterior and interior space. The practical part of the assignment is supported by the process of planning, execution and analysis of the final work. The final part of the assignment is the presentation of the work in different environments through which I present the functional sculpture and its story.
