Idejna zasnova dnevnega centra in varstva starejših v Kranju

Družbeni problem, ki ga magistrska naloga obravnava, je staranje prebivalstva. Delež starejših v Sloveniji iz leta v leto narašča, sistem oskrbe starejših pa temu le stežka dohaja. Tradicionalna oblika oskrbe (dom upokojencev) ni dostopna vsem, zato so se v Sloveniji začeli razvijati tudi drugi modeli oskrbe, kot je dnevno varstvo starejših. Cilj raziskave problematike je - tako na družbeni kot na arhitekturni ravni - določiti tehnične in oblikovne smernice za kvalitetno zasnovo centrov dnevnega varstva starejših. Arhitekturni problem, ki pa ga obravnava naloga, je degradirano območje avtobusne postaje v Kranju in pripadajoče meščanske vile ob Bleiweisovi cesti, ki je v sklopu naloge tudi prenovljena. Magistrska naloga upošteva kompleksnost programov dnevnega varstva starejših in dnevnega centra aktivnosti, jo poveže s spremljajočim javnim programom in hkrati ohranjanja urbanistični motiv vrtnega mesta.

• Title: Conceptual design of day centre and day care for the elderly in Kranj

Abstract

The social issue addressed in the project is the ageing population. The proportion of elderly people in Slovenia is increasing year by year, and the elderly care system is struggling to keep up. The traditional form of elderly care (retirement home) is not accessible to all, which is why other models of care, such as day care centres, have started to develop in Slovenia. The objective of this research is to define technical and design guidelines at both the societal and architectural levels for quality design of day care centres for the elderly. The architectural issue addressed by the project is the degraded area of the bus station in Kranj and the adjacent urban villa on Bleiweis Road, which is also being renovated as part of the project. The master thesis considers the complexity of elderly day care and day activity centre programmes, linking them to the accompanying public programme while preserving the urban motive of the garden city.
