Abstract
Sorpcijske lastnosti ivernih plošč so odvisne od velikosti gradnikov, kakor tudi od uporabljenega lepila in ne nazadnje tudi od tehnološkega procesa. Pri izdelavi, predvsem pri natresanju, lahko v sami proizvodnji pride do nihanja v količini natresenega materiala, kar posledično privede tudi do variacij v debelini in gostoti posameznega sloja ter različnih debelinskih nabrekov. V laboratorijskih pogojih smo iz industrijskega iverja izdelali trislojne iverne plošče z različnim deležem srednjega sloja. Za oblepljanje iverja smo uporabili urea-formaldehidno lepilo. Izdelali smo tri različne trislojne iverne plošče, s 70 %, 55 % in 40 % deležem srednjega sloja. Spremljali smo debelinski nabrek pri potopitvi v vodo in izpostavitvi povišani relativni zračni vlažnosti. Pri izpostavitvi povišani relativni zračni vlažnosti so imeli največji debelinski nabrek preizkušanci s 70 % deležem srednjega sloja, pri potapljanju v vodo pa preizkušanci s 40 % deležem srednjega sloja.

Title:Impact of core layer thickness on thickness swelling of particleboard : B. Sc. thesis
Abstract:
Sorption properties of particleboard depend on the size of the constituents, type of adhesives used, as well as from the production process. During production, especially at mat forming, variation (mass of particles) could occur, hence variations in the thickness and density and thickness swelling. From industrial particles three different particleboards were made in laboratory conditions. Urea-formaldehyde resin was used as adhesive. Particleboards were made with different core layer share. The share of core layer was 40%, 55% and 70%. Thickness swelling after immersion in water and exposure to high humidity was determined. At the exposure to high humidity the highest swelling was determined when share of core layer was 70%, while the highest thickness swelling when immersed in water was determined at particleboard with 40% of core layer.
