Primernost epoksidnega premaznega sistema za zaščito lesenih umivalnikov iz lepljenega češnjevega lesa : diplomsko delo - visokošolski strokovni študij

Na preizkušancih iz lesa češnje (Prunus avium L.), ki smo jih premazali z epoksidnim premazom, smo opravili relevantne standardne preizkuse. Na preizkušancih dimenzij 15 cm x 7 cm x 2 cm različnih orientacij (radialne R), (tangencialne T) in (prečne P) smo izvedli: določanje odpornosti proti razenju in proti udarcu; preizkušance smo izpostavili vodi in vodni pari za določitev sorpcijskih lastnosti; izmerili smo suho in mokro oprijemnost premaznega sistema ter odpornost proti čistilu, vodi in acetonu. Preizkusi so pokazali zelo nizko prepustnost za vodo in vodno paro, dobro odpornost proti hladnim tekočinam (čistilo, voda, aceton) in ustrezno oprijemnost premaznega sistema na podlago. Pri nanosu površinskega premaznega sredstva se je na določenih mestih pojavila hrapavost. Težavo smo rešili tako, da smo površino polirali s polirnimi sredstvi. Preizkusi so pokazali, da je epoksidni dvokomponentni premaz primeren za uporabo na lesenem umivalniku, ker zadošča kriterijem uporabe v kopalniškem prostoru.

• Title: Suitability of a polyepoxide coating system for protection of a washbowl made of glued cherry wood : graduation thesis - higher professional studies

Abstract

We conducted various standard tests on a cherry wood (Prunus avium L.) samples, coated with a polyepoxide system. The samples of dimensions 15 cm x 7 cm x 2 cm and of different orientations (radial R), (tangential T) and (transverse P), enabled us to perform the following tests: resistance to scratching and impact; the samples were exposed to water and water vapour in order to determine absorption and desorption; the dry and wet adhesion were measured; resistance to cleaning agents, water and acetone. The results were very good for the following properties: water and water vapour permeability, resistance to liquids (cleaning agent, water, and acetone) and adhesion of the coating. Application of the surface coating resulted in roughness of the surface in certain places. The problem was solved by polishing. So, the experiments showed that the selected two-pack epoxide coating is appropriate for use on a wooden wash-bowl as it meets the criteria for applications in a bathroom.
