On the basis of a financial analysis, the financial status of a company is assessed and comparisons are made. In this research we studied and compared two wood companies, namely POBLES Ltd. and MLINAR&MLINAR Ltd., which have had approximately the same number of employees and annual turnover in the last five years. Both companies are in the same line of business. The financial data about the two companies has been obtained from publically accessible sources. On the basis of several indicators of financial analysis and SWOT analysis, it has been discovered that the two companies do not differ significantly from each other, although POBLES had slightly better results in the time period under study. Both companies experienced some problems in the time period under study, which have grown even worse in recent years. This has considerably contributed to the drop in their financial ratings.
