Abstract
Glavni cilj diplomske naloge je raziskati in analizirati vplive implementacije hranilnikov električne energije v nizkonapetostnem omrežju s sončnimi elektrarnami. Diplomsko delo se sprva osredotoča na lastnosti baterijskih hranilnikov električne energije (BHEE). Lastnosti, ki hranilnik najbolj zaznamujeta, sta kapaciteta ali zmogljivost in življenjska doba oziroma število ciklov. V nadaljevanju je opravljena podrobnejša analiza litij-ionskega, svinčeno kislinskega in natrijevega tipa baterijskega hranilnika. Opisani so njihova zgradba, lastnosti, princip delovanja, prednosti, slabosti in medsebojna primerjava. V zaključnem delu diplomskega dela so opisani nizkonapetostno distribucijsko omrežje in rezultati izvedenih simulacij. V simulacije so bili vključeni sončne elektrarne dveh nazivnih moči in baterijski hranilniki dveh nazivnih kapacitet. Za posamezno simulacijo so prikazani rezultati napetostnih razmer, obremenitev transformatorja in napetosti zbiralk v omrežju. Prav tako je bila izvedena primerjava vpliva posameznega BHEE na razmere v omrežju. Rezultati simulacij so pokazali, da je neugodne napetostne razmere, ki jih povzročajo sončne elektrarne in katerih število se venomer povečuje, mogoče odpraviti z BHEE. Koliko bodo te razmere izboljšane, je seveda odvisno od zmogljivosti BHEE, katerega cena pa seveda narašča z zmogljivostjo.

Title:The use of electricity storage in a low-voltage power network with solar power plants
Abstract:
The main goal of the thesis is to investigate and analyse the impacts of implementing energy storage systems in low-voltage grid with solar power plants. The thesis initially focuses on the characteristics of battery energy storage systems (BESS). The characteristics that predominantly define the storage system are capacity and lifespan or cycle count. Subsequently, a more detailed analysis is carried out of the lithium-ion, lead-acid, and sodium type battery storage. Their structure, features, principle of operation, advantages and disadvantages are presented, and mutual comparison drawn. In the final part of the thesis, a low-voltage distribution network and the results of conducted simulations are described. The simulations included solar power plants with two nominal capacities and battery energy storage systems with two nominal capacities. For each simulation, the results of voltage conditions, transformer load, and busbar voltages in the network are presented. Furthermore, a comparison of the individual BESS impact on the network conditions was performed. The simulation results have shown that unfavourable voltage conditions caused by solar power plants, the number of which is continually increasing, can be alleviated with BESS. The extent to which these conditions will be improved depends on the capacity of BESS, which, of course, increases with its capacity.
