Abstract
V diplomski nalogi je predstavljeno podjetje Luka Koper ter tehnologija pretovora in skladiščenja sipkega tovora. Podrobno je predstavljen terminal za sipke tovore z vso tehnologijo, vrstami skladišč, pretovorno opremo ter vrste sipkega tovora, ki se v Luki Koper tudi pretovarjajo. Predstavljeno je tudi, kako si podjetje prizadeva na področju ekologije ter eksplozijska varnost. Primerjal sem tehnologijo in pretovor v severnojadranskih pristaniščih Trst, Benetke, Ravena in Reka ter v španskem pristanišču Santander, nov terminal, zgrajen 2012 za sipke tovore po vseh novih standardih. Pri vsakem pristanišču je predstavljena tehnologija in letni pretovor ter njune prednosti in slabosti. Pod sipki tovor spada veliko različnega materiala, zato sem se osredotočil večinoma na pretovor žita in krme. Na koncu naloge pa je predstavljen strateški razvoj Luke Koper ter terminala za sipke tovore do leta 2028.

Title:THE IMPACT OF TRANSHIPMENT TECHNOLOGY AND CARGO STORAGE ON THE COMPETITIVENESS OF THE BULK CARGO TERMINAL IN THE PORT OF KOPER
Abstract:
The diploma thesis presents the company port of Koper and the technology of handling and storing bulk cargo. It provides a detailed overview of the bulk cargo terminal with all the technology, types of warehouses, handling equipment, and all types of bulk cargo handled at port of Koper. It also discusses how the company is commited to environmental protection and explosion safety. I compered the tehnology and handling in the northern Adriatic ports of Trieste, Venice, Ravenna, and Rijeka, as well the new terminal for bulk cargo built in 2012 in the Spanish port of Santander according to all new standards. Each port's technology and annual handling, as well advantages and disadvantages, are presented. Since bulk cargo includes a variety of materials, I focused mainly on the handling of grain and feed. The thesis concludes with the strategic development of port of Koper and the bulk cargo terminal until 2028.
