Abstract
Rezultati raziskave so izpostavili površinsko znanje o programu kolegialne podpore in nizko izkoriščenost programa, čeprav piloti le-temu zaupajo.

Title:The attitude of Slovenian professional pilots towards mental health and related support
Abstract:
In aviation, safety comes first, greatly influenced by the human factor. The ability to fly is indirectly conditioned by the mental health of the pilot. The peer support program offers pilots a conversation if they need support in dealing with issues. The program's facilitator is a pilot, additionally trained for this activity, who provides psychological first aid to colleagues in a confidential and safe environment. In this thesis, we will present the Peer Support Program and the attitude towards mental health and support for Slovenian professional pilots. We conducted the research through an online survey, which we distributed among the population of Slovenian traffic pilots. The aim of the thesis is to examine the knowledge and possible experiences related to the Peer Support Program among Slovenian professional pilots, their attitudes towards mental health treatment, and the support associated with it in the aviation industry. The survey results highlighted superficial knowledge about the Peer Support Program and its underutilization, despite pilots trusting it.
