Today's ventilation systems must meet regulations and demanding standards. Modern ways of living with new energy efficiency guidelines have led to the search for compromises between the appropriate microclimate in living environments and the efficiency of ventilation systems. Designing ventilation systems today is an interdisciplinary task that covers a wide range of conditions.
In the assignment, I focused on the ventilation system based on the values of CO2 pollution in the room. I placed the measuring system in the control part of the ventilation system, which processed the collected data in real time via the user interface. The control part of the system controlled the mechanical part of the ventilation device, which I placed in the room, based on the predetermined values of CO2 pollution in the observed room. Data transfer took place via wired and wireless connections.
In the continuation of the task, I conducted an experiment on the adequacy of the functioning of the manufactured ventilation system. I used physiological measurements to determine the quality of sleep and the level of oxygen in the blood of the observed person in the observed room. The experiment was conducted with natural and mechanical ventilation. At the end of the task, I compared the findings and pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of both systems and pointed out the findings of greatness that I omitted when planning the mechanical ventilation.
