Abstract
Uvod: Endometrioza je kronična, od estrogena odvisna bolezen, ki povzroči tvorjenje in rast endometrijskega tkiva izven maternične votline. To lahko povzroči resne zdravstvene težave, kot so zmerne do hude bolečine in neplodnost. Veliko žensk z endometriozo trpi zaradi kronične bolečine. Povzroči lahko tudi stres in strah, ki pa lahko vodita v anksioznost in depresijo. Pozna diagnoza lahko povzroči stalne ali ponavljajoče simptome bolezni, ki negativno vplivajo na zdravje in kakovost življenja žensk z endometriozo. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je opredeliti in opisati endometriozo ter raziskati, kakšna je kakovost življenja žensk z endometriozo. Metode dela: Uporabljena je bila deskriptivna metoda dela s pregledom strokovne in znanstvene literature s področja endometrioze in kakovosti življenja žensk z endometriozo. Za iskanje literature smo uporabili podatkovne baze Medline in CHINAL ter iskalnika PubMed in COBISS.si.. Iskanje relevantne literature je potekalo od novembra 2013 do marca 2023. Rezultati: Endometrioza je ginekološko obolenje, ki povprečno prizadene 10 % žensk. Največji problem endometrioze je bolečina, njena intenzivnost in pogostost pojavljanja. Kronična medenična bolečina in dismenoreja najpogosteje povzročata znižanje kakovosti življenja na področju spolnosti, vzpostavljanju in vzdrževanju socialnih stikov in izvajanju dnevnih opravil ter dejavnosti. Kronična bolečina pogosto negativno vpliva na akademski, socialni, poklicni, ekonomski, psihološki, fizični in telesni vidik žensk ter povzroča negativne posledice tudi na duševnem zdravju žensk. Sprejemanje bolečine in bolezni pripomore k boljši kakovosti življenja žensk z endometriozo. Razprava in zaključek: Simptomi endometrioze, predvsem bolečina, negativno vplivajo na poklicno, socialno, duševno in telesno delovanje in zdravje žensk. Bolečina močno negativno vpliva na kakovost življenja, vsakodnevne dejavnosti in spolnost. Zato je potrebna zgodnja celostna obravnava, zgodnje diagnosticiranje in zdravljenje bolezni, za doseganje izboljšanja kakovosti življenja žensk z endometriozo.

Title:The impact of pain on the quality of life of women with endometriosis : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: Endometriosis is chronic estrogen dependent disease that causes the formation and growth of endometrial tissue outside the uterine cavity. This can cause serious health related problems, such as moderate to severe pain and infertility. Many women with endometriosis suffer form chronic pain. Pain can causes stress and fear which can lead to anxiety and depression. The late diagnosis can lead to constant or recurrent symptoms of the disease that can negatively impact the health and quality of life of woman with endometriosis. Purpose: The purpose of the diploma work is to describe endometriosis and explore what is quality of life of women with endometriosis. Methods: In the diploma work was used the descriptive method of work with a review of professional and scientific literature in the field of endometriosis and quality of life of women with endometriosis. To search for literature, we visited databases Medline and CHINAL, and search base PubMed and COBBIS.si.. Literature that was used in diploma work was published between 2013 and 2023. Results: Endometriosis is gynecological disease that affects approximately 10% of women. Main problem of endometriosis is pain, its intensity and frequency of occurrence. Chronic pelvic pain and dysmenorrhea most commonly result in reduced quality of life in the area of sexuality, establishing and maintaining social relationships and performing in daily tasks and activities. Chronic pain often has a negative impact on academic, social, psychological and physical position of women and also has negative impact on women's mental health. Acceptance of illness and pain contributes to improved quality of life. Discussion and conclusion: Symptoms of endometriosis, mainly pain has a negatively impact on women's professional, social, mental and physical functioning and health of woman. Pain significantly negatively impacts quality of life, everyday activities and sexuality. Early comprehensive care, early diagnosis and treatment of the disease aim to improve the quality of life of women with endometriosis.
