Abstract
Tipografija spada pod temelje civilizacije. Z njeno pomočjo prenašamo ideje, misli, podatke in sporočila.

Title:Typeface making for chocolate bar wrappers
Abstract:
Typography is the foundation of civilization. With its help, we transmit ideas, thoughts, data and messages. Unlike today, there were very few typographic styles in the past. Today, there are more and more of them due to the advancement of technology. Each style has its own features. In the diploma thesis, we created a font that is suitable for these three different types of chocolate bars. At the beginning of the theoretical part, we quickly presented the division of letter styles and subgroups of linear fonts in a few pages. In the following, we looked at what typography is and got to know the four-line system, which helps us to design a font. We also looked at the individual part of the letters, and then we presented the main rules of font design, readability, spaces between letters and, with a reduction, looked at some details about small and capital letters, numbers, separates and other characters that are necessary for a successfully created font. At the end of the theoretical part, we studied additional methods for a successfully designed font, which we then tested in the experimental part. In the experimental part, we first started drawing letters in a grid. Then we opened the FontLab program, where we set up the four-line system, which we learned about in the first part of the diploma thesis, and then we started making letter by letter step by step. With a few corrections, we arrived at the final product, so we were able to start making three types of wrappers for the chocolate bars. First, we gathered the data we needed for a successful final product, and then start creating the wrappers in Adobe Illustrator. We started with the first chocolate bar and then continued with the others. For an easier presentation and a more beautiful final product, we placed the chocolate wrappers on digital models. At the end of the thesis, we conducted a survey to find out how useful the font we created was and to check if we had used the correct combinations of colors and elements on the wrappers for the chocolate bars.
