Abstract
Za diplomsko delo smo si zadali posneti tri serije fotografij, treh različnih plesnih stilov, in sicer moderni disco dance, hip hop in latinskoameriške plese. Pozneje smo bolj podrobno obrazložili način izbora fotografij in nadaljnje postprodukcije. Pri seriji latinskoameriških plesov smo preizkusili več različnih načinov odstranjevanja ozadja in na koncu smo ga v celoti odstranili in na novo ustvarili za čim bolj realen videz. Rezultat diplomske naloge so tri serije šestih fotografij, treh različnih plesalcev, v estetiki njihove zvrsti.

Title:Photographing different types of dance styles
Abstract:
We consider dance to be one of the more artistic sports and when we connect it with photography, we can create a different and extremely unique product that further highlights and emphasizes this expression of movement. For our diploma thesis, we set ourselves the task of taking three series of photographs, consisting of three different dance styles. Modern disco dance, hip hop and Latin American dances. In the theoretical part, we learned about the requirements of sports photography and how we can make it more artistic, with the help of fashion photography and special effects. We also mentioned some more famous dance photographers and quickly reviewed some characteristics of the three mentioned dance styles. In the experimental part, we found four dancers, with whom we then found a suitable location and planned the subsequent positions during the photography. Each of the three different locations reflected the style and atmosphere of the individual dance, which can most often be seen at various competitions. In all three cases, we used the same equipment, a Sony a7 iii camera, studio lighting and different gel color filters. We also delved into costuming and the use of color gel filters in our photography process. Later, we explained in more detail the method of selection and further post-production. For a series of Latin American dances, we tried several different ways of removing the background and ended up removing it entirely and recreating it for the most realistic look possible. The results of the diploma thesis are three series consisting of six photographs, of three different dancers, in the aesthetics of their genre.
