ANALYSIS OF EMPLOYMENT AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT IN THE FAST-GROWING ORGANISATIONS IN CENTRAL SLOVENIA
Fast-growing companies are crucial in creating new job opportunities, hence the identification and implementation of appropriate hiring processes, including planning, recruitment, selection, onboarding, and employee development, are extremely important due to constant changes.
The purpose of the master's thesis was to examine activities and practices in the field of employment within fast-growing companies and to provide findings. Strategic employee planning and development are crucial regardless of the size, growth, shape, employee structure, and activity of the organization. Organizations must encourage employees to learn and develop, and they must actively participate in development. A literature review, resource study, and survey were conducted.
Based on the research, it was found that in central Slovenia, recommendations are most commonly used for recruiting new employees rather than social networks. Among common methods are "mouth to mouth", posting job on the company website and online job portals. Rapidly growing organizations in the central Slovenian region primarily focus on promoting collaboration among colleagues to exchange knowledge and experiences for employee development. They typically hire individuals aged between 35 and 40, mostly Slovenian citizens, with high school and several years of work experience, although factors change through different phases of organizational development.
Effective hiring and employee development require careful planning. The use of innovative methods for attracting candidates and employee development strategies is crucial. Organizations should improve hiring processes and the continuous development of employees, aligned with individual and organizational goals.
