On three Bohinj Alpine mountain pastures, the research sample plots were set up by the two methods. In the first method, the fitocenological inventarization was made on three or four difeerent types of reasearch plots at each mountain pasture, the number of plant species were determined and assigned them the corresponding life-form and Ellenberg index for nitrogen. With the second method, the research sample plots were set in the mountain pastures on the netvork by 100 x 100 m, and inventory just the woody plant species, which are subject of overgrowing. Then a number of comparisons within the research sample plots, between these plots and between the mountain pastures were made. With the obtained results the speed of overgrowing, the course of succesion, and anticipate possible actions were figured up by individual mountain pastures.
