Abstract
Besedilo skuša podati teoretski okvir za razumevanje hrane in prehranjevanja kot dela človekove identitete, kjer hrana ni namenjena le zadovoljevanju naših potreb v biološkem smislu, pač pa je prepletena s kulturo, je del naše identitete. Rečemo lahko, da je odnos do hrane tudi merilo kulture nekega naroda. Predstavlja konstitutivni element v oblikovanju in vzpostavljanju nacionalnih, regionalnih in lokalnih identitet. Glavni cilj diplomskega dela je prikazati, kako se skozi kulturo prehranjevanja določene družbe ustvarja identiteta, ki je odvisna od področja, kjer živimo, na kakšen način se prehranjujemo, vzpostavljamo vezi in čustva do določene hrane in sestavin. Identificiramo se s hrano oziroma z jedmi, s katerimi odraščamo. Diplomsko delo predstavi, kako prehrana v širšem kulturno-zgodovinskem okviru vpliva na identiteto, kako in kaj so jedli v preteklosti in kako je hrana zaznamovala prehranjevalne navade, ki vplivajo na kulinarično kulturo Korošcev. Koroška je območje, kjer je ena od značilnih lastnosti prebivalcev spoštovanje tradicije. Skrbno pazijo na svoje narečje, v katerem je veliko izrazov, ki se nanašajo na hrano in prehranjevanje. Na tem območju so se vse do danes ohranile številne prehranjevalne navade, kultura prehranjevanja in imenitne stare ljudske jedi, ki jih številni še danes pripravljajo. Njihova zakoreninjenost med Korošci priča o močni regionalni in lokalni identiteti. Koroška košta je del praznične in vsakodnevne prehrane lokalnega prebivalstva in prispeva k ohranjanju identitete.

Title:At the crossroads of culture, eating and identity in the case of "koroška košta"
Abstract:
The text attempts to provide a theoretical framework for understanding of food and eating as a part of human identity, where food is not just intended to meet our needs in a biological sense, but is intertwined with culture, is part of our identity. It could be said that a nation's attitude toward food is also a measure of its culture. It is a constitutive element in the formation and establishment of national, regional and local identities. The main objective of the thesis is to show how the culture of eating in a particular society creates an identity that depends on the area in which we live, the way we eat, establish bonds and feelings with certain foods and ingredients. We identify with the food we grow up with. The graduation thesis presents how nutrition in a broader cultural-historical context affects identity, how and what people ate in the past, and how food marked the eating habits that influence the culinary culture of Carinthians. Carinthia is a region where one of the characteristics of the inhabitants is respect for tradition. They carefully guard their dialect, which is rich in expressions related to food and eating. Many of the eating habits, the culture of eating, and the fine old folk dishes that many still prepare have been preserved in this area. Their rootedness among Carinthians testifies to a strong regional and local identity. It is part of the holiday and daily diet of the local population and contributes to the preservation of identity.
