Abstract
V diplomski nalogi so predstavljeni proces načrtovanja zajemanja podatkov, proces izdelave prototipnega pogonskega sistema in izdelave simulacijskega modela ter preizkusi delovanja sistema s spreminjanjem referenčne vrednosti.

Title:Control of Air Propulsion Module for an Electric Vessel
Abstract:
This document describes the process of designing and manufacturing a watercraft propulsion system. The thesis presents the process of designing a system for data collection, manufacturing of the propulsion prototype, the simulation model of the system and tests to check if the systems is working as intended. The propulsion system consists of an EGO Power propulsion module, a Raspberry Pi microcomputer, a force measuring sensor, 3D printed brackets and a casing for holding everything together. The sensor's primary job is to measure the force caused by the propulsion module. The captured data is then used as an input data for a closed looped control system. The control system was developed in a mathematical programmable environment called Matlab and includes a closed loop control system with a PID controller. The control system was then translated into the Python programming language and uploaded to the Raspberry Pi for testing in the real world. The aim of the project and thesis is to regulate the speed of the propulsion module in a controlled manner to maximize the capability of the module and to compensate for the discharge of the battery.
