Analysis of roe deer-traffic accidents on specific research area in northeastern Slovenia has been done. Research period 1998-2006 has been taken. The whole research area has been divided into three smaller, reasonably formed objects. Objects vary in: roe deer population density, traffic density on main roads, landscape characteristics and settlement. Broad scale analysis showed that the frequency of road kill hasn't been growing through research period. High dependances between age of animals and season and between sex andseason, differences in number of road kill between objects and different correlation rates between number of accidents and combined influence of roe deer density and traffic density has been discovered. It was found out that planning and implementation of measures are adequately incorporated in roe deer management. More contemporary mitigation measures are missing.
