In graduation thesis we were trying to display differences between forests stands conditions, forest management and managing conditions in areas with different regimes of conservation. In three areas - core zone of Triglav National Park (TNP), buffer zone and area outside the park - a comparison between aims, goals, restrains, restrictions and forest functions was also made. Research was based on 517 sections in Anemone trifoliae-Fagetum which covers the majority of TNP. With statistical analysis differences in growing stock, increment, forest management and managing conditions were discovered. We displayed that forest management varies according to the regime of conservation. We also defined that in protected forest areas conflicts in protection of environment often occure, because of different interests and favoring with different forest functions, land use and economic development. Forest management is under permanent pressure of environmental measures, but on the other hand forest areas are expected to fulfill many economic and social functions. For this reason it is necessary to balance profitable and conservation aims. Some are disapproving with forest management in protected areas. However, considering a long duration of sustainable forest management in Slovenia, forestry is not the activity that would be endangering protected areas.
