Abstract
V diplomski nalogi smo opazovali in merili rastline različnih vrst/sort homulic in hermelik (Sedum L.). Meritve smo izvajali leta 2022 od 21. 03. 2022 do 20. 09. 2022, vsak drugi teden na Laboratorijskem polju Biotehniške fakultete v Ljubljani. V poskus smo vključili rastline osnovne vrste bele homulice (Sedum album) ter sorte Sedum album 'Coral Carpet', Sedum telephium 'Herbstfreude' in Sedum spurium 'Variegatum'. Opazovali smo rast poganjkov in razvoj socvetij, merili dolžino, širino in višino rastlin. Uporabljali smo naslednje pripomočke: šiviljski meter, lopato in kljunasto merilo. Socvetja smo pri rastlinah prešteli enkrat v rastni dobi. Pri sorti Sedum telephium 'Herbstfreude' je bilo socvetij na posamezni rastlini zelo veliko, zato smo jih prešteli le na četrtini vsake opazovane rastline in vrednost pomnožili s 4. Pri tej sorti smo 10 izbranim socvetjem izmerili tudi premer. Premer socvetja smo vsakokrat merili dvakrat z 90° zamikom. Za vsako vrsto in sorto smo izračunali standardni odklon in s tem ugotovili variabilnost izmerjenih rezultatov. Variabilnost je bila največja pri sorti Sedum spurium 'Variegatum'. Rastline sorte Sedum telephium 'Herbstfreude' so v rastni dobi 2022 razvile največje število socvetij elipsoidne oblike. Rastline sorte Sedum album 'Coral Carpet' so rastle najšibkeje, medtem ko so rastline sorte Sedum telephium 'Herbstfreude' dosegle najmočnejšo rast med opazovanimi rastlinami. Rastline sorte Sedum spurium 'Variegatum' so v času opazovanja razvile najmanjše število socvetij, ker je zacvetela le ena od treh opazovanih rastlin. S poskusom smo ugotovili veliko raznolikost med posameznimi vrstami in sortami v rodu Sedum.

Title:GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF PLANTS OF DIFFERENT SEDUM SPECIES (Sedum L.)
Abstract:
In this work, plants of different Sedum species/varieties (Sedum L.) were monitored and measured. The measurements were carried out from 21. 03. 2022 to 20. 09. 2022, every other week, at the laboratory field of the Faculty of Biotechnology in Ljubljana. The plants included in the experiment were the basic species of white sedum (Sedum album) and the cultivars Sedum album 'Coral Carpet', Sedum telephium 'Herbstfreude' and Sedum spurium 'Variegatum'. We observed the growth of the shoots and the development of the inflorescences, the spread of the plants (length and width) and the plant height. We used the following tools: a tape measure, a spade and a beak scale. We counted the inflorescences of the plants once during the growing season. In Sedum telephium 'Herbstfreude', the number of inflorescences per plant was very high. Therefore, all three plants of this variety were divided into four equal parts and the inflorescences on one quarter of each plant were counted. The number of inflorescences on the whole plant was then estimated by multiplying the value for the number of inflorescences on each quarter by four. For this variety, the length and diameter of each inflorescence was also measured. For this purpose, 10 inflorescences per plant were selected and these measurements were taken on these plants. For each plant, two measurements were taken with a 90° shift. Finally, we calculated the average of the inflorescences for each individual plant of Sedum telephium 'Herbstfreude' separately. For each species and cultivar, the standard deviation was calculated to determine the variability of the measurement results. The variability was highest for Sedum spurium 'Variegatum'. The plants of Sedum telephium 'Herbstfreude' developed the most inflorescences in the 2022 growing season and the shape of the inflorescences was ellipsoid. The plants of Sedum spurium 'Variegatum' did not flower at all. The measurements showed great diversity among species and cultivars of the Sedum genus.
