Sled spomina — idejna zasnova revitalizacije historičnega mestnega tkiva Višnjana

Problemi notranjosti Istre se kažejo v propadanju starih srednjeveških jeder krajev, med katerimi je tudi naselje Višnjan. Z novim OPN-jem je predviden hotel v samem centru mesta, to razumem kot možnost rehabilitacije prostora centra in spodbujanja trajnostnega razmišljanja za razvoj kraja. S kritičnim arhitekturnim razmišljanjem valoriziram ključne probleme propadanja starih mestnih jeder Istre ter vpliv prekomerne betonizacije Istre na uničevanje identitete kraja ter posledično zmanjševanje turistične privlačnosti. Pričakovan rezultat je projekt hibridnega programa hotela za celoletno bivanje, ki manifestira trajnostni turizem v ohranjanju tradicionalnega rastra mesta. S svojim projektom bom skušal vzpostaviti novi pogled na staro mestno jedro.

• Title: Amidst memories — the conceptual plan for revitalization of the historical town center of Višnjan

Abstract

The problems of the interior of Istria are manifested in the deterioration of the old medieval cores of the region, among which is the village of Višnjan. With the city's new OPN, a hotel is planned in the very center of the town, which I take as an opportunity to rehabilitate the area of the center and encourage sustainable thinking for the development of the region. With critical and responsible architectural thinking, I valorize the key problems of the deterioration of the old town cores of Istria and the impact of excessive concretization of Istria on the destruction of the identity of the region and the consequent reduction of tourist attraction. The expected result is a project of a hybrid hotel program for year-round stay, which manifests sustainable tourism while preserving the traditional layout of the place. With my project, I will try to establish a new view of the old city center.
