Abstract
Namen diplomskega dela je bil linearizirati proces ofsetnega tiska in izdelati poskusne odtise ter njihovo kakovost primerjati z odtisi na digitalnem tiskarskem stroju. Prvi odtisi so se izvajali na ofsetnem tiskarskem stroju Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75-6 L, drugi pa na digitalnem tiskarskem stroju Xerox Versant 280. Na odtisih smo izvedli meritve denzitometričnih vrednosti in rastrskih tonskih vrednosti. Izrisane so bile gradacijske krivulje. V nadaljevanju so bile izvedene sprektrofotometrične meritve, na osnovi katerih so bile pridobljene informacije o velikosti barvnih obsegov odtisov. Na koncu pa je bila izvedena še vizualna analiza. Na osnovi navedenih meritev je bila izvedena primerjava tiskovne kakovosti med uporabljenima tehnologijama in papirji. Uporabljena sta bila standardna papirja, in sicer ISO 12647-2 – premazni in nepremazni papir. Namen je bil ugotoviti, katera tehnologija in izbrani tiskovni material nam data boljše rezultate tiskovne kakovosti in ali lahko pri tehnologiji elektrofotografije uporabimo papir za ofsetni tisk. Pri ofsetni tiskarski tehnologiji so bile gradacijske krivulje boljše kot pri digitalnem tisku. Pri optični gostoti in barvnem obsegu pa so bili rezultati boljši pri digitalni tehnologiji tiska. Kakovost tiska digitalne tehnologije se približuje kakovosti ofsetnega tiska, odtisi so bili zelo dobri tudi na tiskovnih materialih, ki niso specificirani za digitalni tisk.

Title:Linearization of printing process and production of test prints on offset printing press Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75-6 L
Abstract:
The aim of the thesis was to linearize the offset printing process and to make trial prints and compare their quality with prints on a digital printing machine. The first prints were made on an offset printing machine Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75-6 L, and the second on a digital printing machine Xerox Versant 280. We performed measurements of densitometric values and raster tonal values on the prints. Gradation curves were plotted. In the following, spectrophotometric measurements were carried out, on the basis of which information was obtained about the size of the color ranges of the prints. Finally, a visual analysis was performed. On the basis of the mentioned measurements, a comparison of print quality was made between the technologies and papers used. Standard papers were used, i.e. ISO 12647-2 coated and uncoated paper. The aim was to find out which technology and selected printing material gives us better print quality results and whether we can use paper for offset printing in electrophotographic technology. With offset printing technology, the gradation curves were better than with digital printing. In terms of optical density and color range, the results were better with digital printing technology. The print quality of digital technology approaches the quality of offset printing, the prints were very good even on printing materials not specified for digital printing.
