Abstract
V preteklosti so živali prevzemale različne vloge, od prevoznega sredstva do pridobivanja hrane ali družinskih ljubljenčkov. Razumevanje živali kot živih bitij ter vpliv, ki ga imajo na otrokovo zavedanje, s poudarkom na pomenu pedagoškega pristopa za spodbujanje pravilnega in odgovornega ravnanja z živalmi ter odpravljanje predsodkov je zelo pomembno pri delu z otroki. Pri tem imajo pedagoški delavci ključno vlogo, da zmanjšajo nasilje nad živalmi s tem, da poučujejo otroke o spoštovanju, odgovornosti in sožitju z živalmi, kar je še posebej aktualno ob pogostih poročilih o mučenju živali v medijih. Raziskovala sem, v kolikšni meri, na kakšne različne načine in katere živali so aktivno vključene v pedagoški proces vrtcev in kako so pri tem vključeni otroci in starši. Uporabljeni sta bili kvantitativna in kvalitativna metoda zbiranja podatkov. Kvantitativne podatke smo pridobili s pomočjo tehnike anketiranja in kvalitativne podatke s intervjuvanjem. Raziskava je razkrila tudi pomanjkanje pravnih podlag za lastništvo živali v vzgojno-izobraževalnih ustanovah, kar pomeni, da so pedagoški delavci in vodstvo pogosto prepuščeni pomanjkljivim smernicam ter priporočilom. Prav tako je raziskava pokazala, kako pomembno vlogo imajo živali v pedagoškem procesu predšolskih otrok. Vzpostavitev pravne podlage za lastništvo živali je ključna naloga v pedagoškem procesu. To bi ščitilo pedagoške delavce in vodstvo ter omogočilo lažje vključevanje živali v pedagoški proces ob upoštevanju jasnih smernic in standardov.

Title:Integration of animals in the kindergarten education process
Abstract:
In the past, animals have taken on different roles, from means of transport to food or family pets. Understanding animals as living beings and the impact they have on children's awareness, with an emphasis on the importance of a pedagogical approach to promote the correct and responsible treatment of animals and to eliminate prejudices, is very important when working with children. In this context, educators have a key role to play in reducing violence against animals by teaching children about respect, responsibility and coexistence with animals, which is particularly relevant in the light of frequent reports of animal torture in the media. We investigated to what extent, in what different ways and which animals are actively involved in the educational process in kindergartens and how children and parents are involved. Methods. We obtained quantitative data using the survey technique and qualitative data through interviewing.The study also showed the important role that animals play in the educational process of pre-school children. Establishing a strong legal basis for animal ownership is crucial in the educational process. This would protect educators and management and facilitate the inclusion of live animals in the education system while respecting clear guidelines and standards.
