Abstract
Empirični del temelji na raziskavi o stališčih in odnosih vzgojiteljev predšolskih otrok do ponovne rabe materialov in njihovem vključevanju v njihovo delo. Z dejavnostmi smo želeli prikazati možnosti ponovne rabe odpadnih materialov v vrtcu ter pridobiti celovit vpogled v razvoj tehničnih veščin in okoljske ozaveščenosti skozi različna obdobja predšolskega otroka. Diplomsko delo prinaša koristne smernice strokovnim delavcem v vzgoji in izobraževanju, staršem, otrokom in tudi širši skupnosti o učinkoviti vključitvi trajnostnih praks v predšolsko vzgojo. Prispeva k ustvarjanju okolja, ki spodbuja razvoj otrok in hkrati ozavešča o pomenu ponovne rabe materialov.

Title:Reuse of materials in early childhood technical education
Abstract:
The thesis revolves around the integration of technical education during the preschool period, with a particular emphasis on the reuse of materials. It elucidates how early childhood education on waste management establishes the groundwork for fostering awareness of environmental responsibility. Notably, the thesis underscores that technical education plays a pivotal role in shaping sustainable practices and fostering creativity in children. In the theoretical segment, we expound upon cognitive and ecological theories, as well as the theory of planned behavior, all of which delve into the impact of the environment on preschool children. Subsequently, we articulate the concept of technical education during early childhood and elucidate the role of technology within the curriculum. Additionally, we provide a concise overview of diverse waste materials suitable for reuse in kindergarten settings and furnish examples of exemplary practices. The empirical segment is grounded in research examining the perspectives and stances of preschool educators regarding the reuse of materials and its integration into their pedagogical practices. The findings reveal a generally favorable inclination among educators toward material reuse; however, a notable demand for further training in this domain has been identified. Through these activities, our intention was to demonstrate the potential for repurposing waste materials within the kindergarten setting, aiming to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the progression of technical skills and environmental awareness across various stages of preschool development. The activities underscored the significance of tailoring them to the age of the children, revealing that such adaptability facilitates optimal technical skill development, with proficiency increasing progressively with age. The thesis furnishes valuable directives for educators, parents, children, and the broader community concerning the efficient incorporation of sustainable practices into preschool education. It contributes to the establishment of an environment that not only fosters children's development but also heightens awareness regarding the significance of material reuse.
