The preschool period is a time of the fastest motor development of a child, which significantly influences the development of the child's physical, cognitive, and emotional characteristics. Physical/sport activities are therefore crucial during this period for the harmonious and healthy development of children. The purpose of this master's thesis is to present an eight-week program of motor/sport activities for preschool children aged 5 to 6 years, which can be implemented in the Ribnica kindergarten, taking into account the conditions. In the first part of the paper, we presented the main characteristics of the motor development of a child, defined motor abilities, and provided organizational forms of motor/sport activities in the kindergarten. Subsequently, we initially introduced the spatial and material conditions for the implementation of the motor program in the Ribnica kindergarten and then provided an example of an eight-week program of motor/sport activities. The task is intended for pedagogical workers as assistance in implementing motor content and demonstrating various options for carrying out motor/sport activities in the premises of the Ribnica kindergarten and its surroundings. With adaptation, other kindergartens and institutions dealing with the education of preschool children can also benefit from the motor program.
