Abstract:
Prispevek razčlenjuje položaj žanra pri pouku književnosti in vlogo žanra pri interpretaciji književnega dela. Razlaga, da interpretacijo v določeni meri pogojujeta vrsta dela in starost učencev ter da je komunikativnost književnega dela pogojena s tem, kako delo/žanr anticipira sodelovanje bralca. Teorijo žanra izvaja iz branja in razlage več književnih del in prilagaja njegovo obravnavo pri pouku glede na žanrsko oblikovanost posameznega besedila. To metodološko izhodišče je osnova za ustrezne funkcionalne oblike dela, ki se uporabljajo pri pouku, ponazorjene pa so na primeru humorističnega besedila.

Keywords:TITLE:The paper analyses the status of genre in the teaching of literature and its role in the interpretation of literary works. It is claimed that to a certain extent interpretation is influenced by the type of work and the age of the students, and that the communicative potential of a work of literature is linked with the manner in which it anticipates the reader's participation. Genre theory is derived from the reading and interpretation of a number of literary works, while the genre characteristics of an individual literary work determine the manner of its use in the teaching of literature.
