The diploma work describes how the introduction of the Krpan information system (hereinafter IS Krpan) affected employees in the field of social transfers at the Centers for Social Work (hereinafter CSD). The goal of introducing the new IS Krpan at the CSD is certainly to improve the way the body operates.
The purpose of the diploma work is to find out how employees in the field of social transfers see the benefits and weaknesses of IS Krpan and to identify improvements in the business.
In the research part, we conducted a survey among the employees of CSD Celje and illustrated the results with charts. With this aim, we achieved the satisfaction of CSD employees who are faced with the use of IS Krpan on a daily basis. We presented the results of the research and listed suggestions for possible improvements to IS Krpan. The introduction of IS Krpan has contributed to certain improvements, which are also noticed by employees. The main improvements are better transparency of cases and documents and management of uniform documentary material. We find the increased volume of administrative work to be a drawback of the information system.
The results show that an additional upgrade of IS Krpan will be needed in the future, which will be efficient, fast and primarily to the benefit of the user's service. Of course, the key here is the cooperation of service providers, that is, the Ministry of Public Administration (hereafter MJU) and professionals (individual CSDs), as we believe that this is the key to success.
