The paper presents common concepts in the religious renewing in 16th century and at the same time stresses the differences between catholic confession and reformed churches. These differences are most visible in holy offerings (Eucharistic offer) and in the status of the priest which includes the relationship between the man and the God. The paper summarizes some key historical events that were caused by Luther's actions. The paper in the end makes a remark that religious movements, catholic confession and reformed churches, are important for the beginning of the modern age.
