Abstract
Geografski informacijski sistemi so v zadnjih dveh desetletjih nadomestili klasičen način predstavljanja in uporabe prostorskih podatkov. Z geografskimi informacijskimi sistemi se v današnjem času srečujemo skoraj na vsakem koraku. V magistrskem delu zato raziskujemo temelje njihovega delovanja in nastanka. Prostorske analize predstavljajo temelj delovanja GIS tehnologije. Omogočajo nam napredne prostorske študije in nam pomagajo pri sprejemanju odločitev, povezanih s prostorom. Preučili smo zgodovino nastanka tehnologije GIS in na praktičnem primeru preizkusili, katera znanja in orodja so potrebna za njihovo izdelavo. Zasnovali smo aplikacijo Geoisk, ki uporabniku omogoča avtomatizirane prostorske poizvedbe na območju občine Domžale. Uporabnik s pomočjo aplikacije pridobi grafičen prikaz zemljiških parcel, ki so v območju poljubne oddaljenosti od dveh prostorskih dejavnikov (npr. oddaljenost od postajališč JPP, izobraževalnih ustanov, trgovin…). Uporabnik preko grafičnega vmesnika izbere dva prostorska dejavnika in območje oddaljenosti. Z izvedbo analize pridobi informacije o lokaciji in prostorski razporejenosti zemljiških parcel, ki ustrezajo izbranim pogojem. Predstavljen je celoten postopek izdelave GIS spletne aplikacije s prosto dostopnimi spletnimi orodji.

Title:Development of GIS for automated spatial data querying. Municipality Domžale case study
Abstract:
Over the last two decades, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have replaced the traditional way of representing and using spatial data. Geographic information systems are encountered at almost every turn. In this Master's thesis, we explore the foundations of their functionalities and their history. Spatial analysis is an essential part of how GIS technology works. They enable us to carry out advanced spatial studies and help us make space-related decisions. We explored the history of GIS technology and tested the skills and tools needed to create them. We have designed the Geoisk application that allows the user to make automated spatial queries in the area of the municipality of Domžale. The application provides the user with a graphical representation of land parcels that are within an arbitrary distance from two spatial factors (e. g. distance from bus stops, schools, shops, etc.). The user selects the two spatial factors and the distance range via graphical interface. The analysis provides information about the location and spatial distribution of the land parcels that meet the selected conditions. The complete process of creating a GIS web application using open- source web tools is described.
