Questions of individual, global and national identities will influence literature class in multicultural Europe of 21st century. Multicultural dialogat literature class can be developed also through literature of Slovene Reformation, which means that such class isn't developing only cultural but also multicultural competences. Results of analysis of textbook selections and asssemblies from 1970 until 2000 will be compared with updated gimnasyum syllabus (2007). Analysis and comparison show that literature class of 21st century should be focused on (creative) learning for/with understanding. Innovative strategies and methods of teaching that are allowing such learning of Slovene literature of Reformation are showed.
