The thesis focuses on the development of an information system for the tourist department of Ministry X of the Republic Slovenia. Currently, the majority of processes in the department are still manual and paper-based, which hinders work efficiency and allows room for errors. Thus, the objective of the new system is to digitalize most and automate some of the processes,
Since the ministry is a government body, the system must be thoroughly planned. Therefore, a structural approach will be used in the making of this thesis, where the system specification, analysis and design shall be made in collaboration with the employees at the ministry. The outcomes of the thesis will include software requirements specification, analysis model and design model for booking tourist facilities offered by the ministry.
The implementation of the system will utilize tools such as PowerDesigner and Figma. These tools provide an efficient development environment for designing and building an information system that meets the needs and requirements of the ministry.
