Abstract
Slovenija se že dolgo sooča s slabo organiziranostjo javnega potniškega prometa. Od uporabe javnega potniškega prometa mnoge odvračajo dolgi potovalni časi ter slaba geografska razpršenost vstopnih in izstopnih postaj. Večina potnikov tako za način vsakodnevne mobilnosti izbere vožnjo s svojim osebnim avtomobilom, kar se vse bolj odraža v prometnih konicah in pomanjkanju parkirnih mest. Sorazmerno hitra rešitev tega problema je sopotništvo (ang. carpooling), ki je v različnih oblikah že dobro uveljavljeno v tujih državah. Cilj diplomske naloge je bil razvoj enostranske spletne aplikacije s čelnim sistemom, razvitim z ogrodjem VueJS, ki z zaledjem komunicira preko programskega vmesnika, razvitega v ogrodju Node.js s podporo sistema za upravljanje objektno usmerjenih podatkovnih baz NoSQL MongoDB.

Title:Developing a carpooling application
Abstract:
Slovenia has long had a poorly organised public transport system. Many people are discouraged from using public transport by long travel times and poor geographical distribution of stations. Most passengers therefore choose to drive their own car for their daily commute, which is increasingly reflected in traffic congestions and a lack of parking spaces. A relatively quick solution to this problem is carpooling, which is already well established in various forms abroad. The aim of the thesis was to develop a single-page web application with a front-end system developed with the VueJS framework, which communicates with the back-end via an API developed in the Node.js framework using the NoSQL MongoDB object-oriented database management system.
