In graduation thesis we have evaluated stand structure of forest section C03 in the forest management unit Trbovlje-Zagorje. A grid of circular sampling plots (500 m2) was set up in the form of a systematic sampling net of 100 * 50m. In the sampling plots we gathered data on trees and stand densities. In the forest section C03 the stand structure in forest at higher altitude was different from stand structure below 650 m. The differencies in the height curves were used to obtain the tariff functions (volume tables). The estimation of mean growing stock in the forest section was 514,9 m3/ha. The variability of the observed basal area in forest at higher altitude was lower (25 %) than in the strata of spruce stands at low altitude (34 %).
