The master’s thesis discusses the subject of local craft industries and includes it in the urban development of Semič. The thesis first deals with theoretical starting points, such as craft in the Slovenian space, local craft activity, the historical development of the chosen place and the fundamental values of the New European Bauhaus. The theoretical starting points, coupled with the following analytical part of the thesis, serve as a groundwork for the conceptual design of the area. The purpose of the master's thesis is to present the conceptual design of urban development, which includes the center of Semič, village settlements and green spaces. This design is an example of connecting different areas, with the common goal of boosting entrepreneurship and building a community, while creating a pleasant and high quality living environment.
