Abstract

Title:Animation for music
Abstract:
The core of my thesis was to explore animation as a visualisation of music and to create a product that would show this connection in the best possible way. The thesis consists of three parts: research, analytical and practical. In the research part, I focused on the principles, history, and development of animation, as well as the occurrence of animation in music videos. I also delved into the portrayal of music in fine art. In the analytical part, I first analysed examples I considered relevant for my project, and then delved into the track itself, explaining its structure through my understanding, which formed the basis for the animation. In the practical part, I explained the design and the visual language I had developed, and then went on to describe in more detail the individual scenes of the animation and the use of special effects.
