The thesis focuses on the process of obtaining the CE mark for a laser marking device. The first part theoretically covers the process of obtaining the CE mark for simple machines and machines with low risk. We have described the procedure for ensuring the laser safety of the machine. The second part presents the entire process of obtaining the CE mark and ensuring safety compliance of the laser marking device. We conducted procedures for selecting the appropriate directives and standards, ensuring laser safety, obtaining an independent compliance assessment from a notified body, conducting a risk assessment, and using Module A for conformity assessment, while also creating the technical documentation for the laser marking device.
By implementing solutions and actions, we ensured that the laser marking device meets all the requirements of the prescribed directives, standards, and regulations. We created an EC Declaration of Conformity for the machine and ensured that the laser radiation does not exceed the allowed limits, and that users are not exposed to the hazards of laser radiation. With this, we met the conditions to affix the CE mark on the machine.
