V deželi spomina : Idejna zasnova soseske za osebe z demenco na Igu

Demenca je splošen izraz za izgubo spomina, ki zajema širok spekter specifičnih zdravstvenih stanj. Število oseb obolelih z demenco se povečuje, s tem pa nastaja problem pomankanja ustreznih namestitev za obolele. Ne srečujemo se samo s problematiko pomanjkanja prostora temveč tudi z ustreznostjo institucionalnega varstva. Obolele osebe imajo težave pri razumevanju sveta okoli sebe, zaradi tega so zaskrbljene, žalostne, lahko tudi agresivne. Okolje, ki je v harmoniji z obolelim, odpravlja mnoga od teh čustev in se osredotoča na zdravje. Osebe z demenco potrebujejo notranje in zunanje bivalno okolje, ki je varno in enostavno za gibanje, če želijo še naprej živeti po svojem življenjskem slogu in kar najbolje izkoristiti svoje zmožnosti. Naloga se ukvarja z raziskavo kako z arhitekturo in oblikovanjem prostora zagotovimo primerno bivalno okolje za osebe obolele z demenco. Cilj naloge je izdelava idejne zasnove soseske namenjene oskrbi oseb obolelih za demenco v kraju Ig. Soseska nudi varno bivanjsko okolje, ki obolele osebe spodbuja k normalnemu življenju tudi v poznejših fazah bolezni, saj jim nudi primerno in varno okolje, po katerem se lahko prosto gibljejo in ohranjajo samostojnost. Zasnovana je kot soseska s posameznimi bivalnimi enota, ki predstavljajo bivalne skupnosti v katerih živi po 10 oskrbovancev. V posamezni enoti so tudi skupni prostori, dnevne sobe in jedilnice. Enote povezujejo javni zunanji prostori znotraj varovane soseske. Ti zeleni javni prostori povezujejo enote s spremljevalnim programom oskrbe. Cilj soseske je, da deluje kot navadna soseska.

• Title: Living in Memory : Conceptual design of a Dementia Village in Ig

Abstract

Dementia is a general term for memory loss that covers a wide range of accompanying symptoms associated with the illness. The number of people suffering from dementia is increasing, creating a capacity issue, along with a lack of suitable accommodation for people suffering from the condition. Not only are we faced with the problem of having insufficient space, but also with the inadequacy of institutional care. Dementia patients have problems understanding the world around them, because of this they are often worried, sad, and at times even aggressive. An environment in harmony with the patient removes a lot of these emotions and puts the focus on their health. Dementia patients need an indoor and outdoor living environment that is safe and easy to move around, if they are to continue living their lifestyle and make the most of their abilities. This assignment addresses the issues listed with research on how architecture and space design can provide a suitable living environment for people with dementia. The aim is to create a conceptual design of a neighborhood intended for the care of people suffering from dementia in the town of Ig. The neighborhood offers a user-friendly experience that encourages dementia patients to lead a normal life even in the later stages of the disease, as it provides them with a suitable and safe environment in which they can move freely and maintain their independence. It is designed as a neighborhood with individual residential units representing residential communities made up of 10 residents living together. Each unit also consists of common areas, living room and a dining room. The units are connected by public outdoor spaces within the guarded neighborhood. These green public spaces connect the units with the surrounding care programs, with the goal of the neighborhood being to enable residents to function like a normal community.
