Abstract
V okviru diplomskega dela sem naredila serijo reakcij dveh cinkovih izhodnih spojin, [$Zn(quin)_2(H_2O)$] (quin = kinaldinat) ali [$Zn(quin)_2(1-Etpzam)$]∙$H_2O$ (1-Etpzam = 1-etilpiperazinoacetamidin), z amonijevim tetrafluoroboratom ali amonijevim kloridom v acetonitrilu v prisotnosti trietilamina. V nekaterih primerih je topilni sistem vseboval tudi metanol. Reakcije so bile narejene pri sobni temperaturi ali pri segrevanju na 105 °C v avtoklavu. Identiteto trdnih produktov sem določila s primerjavo njihovih infrardečih spektrov s spektri znanih spojin. Iz reakcijskih zmesi izolirani trdni produkti potrjujejo nastanek amonijaka in acetamidina. Poleg želenega produkta [$Zn(quin)_2(am)$], kompleksa z acetamidinom, sem izolirala še dva kompleksa z amonijakom, [$Zn(quin)_2(NH_3)$] in $[Zn(NH_3)_4](BF_4)_2$.

Title:Acetamidine formation in the presence of zinc(II) complexes
Abstract:
Within a diploma work, a series of reactions between one of the two zinc(II) starting materials, [$Zn(quin)_2(H_2O)$] (quin = quinaldinate) or [$Zn(quin)_2(1-Etpzam)$]∙$H_2O$ (1-Etpzam = 1-Ethylpiperazinoacetamidine), and ammonium tetrafluoroborate or ammonium chloride in acetonitrile in the presence of triethylamine was carried out. For some reactions, the solvent system contained also methanol. Reactions were carried out at ambient conditions or at 105 °C in autoclaves. Identities of solid products were determined by comparing infrared spectra with the spectra of already known compounds. The isolated products confirm the formation of ammonia and acetamidine in our reaction mixtures. Apart from the wanted acetamidine complex, [$Zn(quin)_2(am)$], two complexes with ammonia were also obtained, [$Zn(quin)_2(NH_3)$] and [$Zn(NH_3)_4](BF_4)_2$.
