Abstract

Title:
Building fires in Slovenia from 2010 to 2021
Abstract:
Building fires are the most dangerous type of fire, because they appear most frequently. With the help of SPIN system I collected and organised data of building fires in Slovenia from 2010 to 2021. I also made a prediction for the number of building fires for the next 4 years. Building fires are the most common type of fire but their numbers are decreasing which indicates fire safety improvements. Building fires are most frequent on residential buildings in afternoon hours and in cold months which indicates that a substantial amount of fires is a consequence of heating accidents. Building fires are the main cause of fatalities because people can get trapped in the building.
