The thesis describes the planning and implementation of home automation. The project was carried out at Avtoma d.o.o., a company specializing in building automation. The project was implemented using Siemens control and software tools. We integrated the control and regulation of heating, ventilation and cooling within the building automation system. The user has the ability to operate and monitor the devices status through the SCADA system (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), which controls the whole system and provides the user with a graphical display of processes and has the ability to adjust parameters through the user interface.
The most crucial attribute for this kind of system is reliability. Individuals residing in such a facility must be assured that automatic functions will operate flawlessly, which is a prerequisite for achieving the desired indoor conditions.
