Abstract

Title:Evaluation of Life Couching
Abstract:
The present research is an attempt to adapt common factors used in psychotherapy for the evaluation of the process and use them for the evaluation of life coaching, and from the results of the analysis to draw conclusions about the connection between life coaching and systemic psychotherapy. Researchers of the coaching process (Molyn et al., 2022) came to the conclusion that it would be reasonable to evaluate coaching in the manner of common factors, whose father is Rosenzweig and who described them as far back as 1936. Common factors in psychotherapy are a transtheoretical approach and as such useful for all forms of help where one person offers help and another person seeks it (Rosenzweig, 1936). In the theoretical part, I described the similarities between coaching and systemic psychotherapy based on theoretical foundations and methodology and techniques. The diversity of coaching approaches and modalities indicates that coaching (as well as psychotherapy) is integrative in nature. The results of the evaluation of the case of life coaching according to the scheme of common factors indicate that the client factor is crucial for the successful outcome of the process and that the joint work (common factors) is the result of the hard work of the client and the coach, where safe and authentic bond was established during the process.
