Abstract
Diplomsko delo skuša raziskati feministično teorijo spola zlasti v navezavi na delo Judith Butler, Težave s spolom: feminizem in subverzija identitete.

Title:Gender Trouble and Antigone as the Paradigm
Abstract:
Undergraduate thesis attempts to research the feminist gender theory in relation to Judith Butler's work: Gender Trouble, Feminism and the Subversion of Identity. It attempts to illuminate the issues that arrise also inside the feminist movement, and that are connected to bioessentialist perception of sex and gender. On grammatic level it tries (as Monique Wittig) to make sex/gender catagories linguistically obsolete. It implements the use of gender neutral form in Slovene (which is a binary language), the two grammar categories of genders are written with the use of the underscore (which could be interpreted as the equivalent of the English they/them pronouns when refering to an individual). It also tries to look at gender in relation to our interpretations of literature, in connection to Greek play Antigone. In this second part the thesis is again based on Judith Butler's work: Antigone's Claim, Kinship Between Life and Death. On the basis of the play itself and its interpretations it makes the claim that the character of Antigone is the paradigm, which has a lot in common with the marginalized experience.
