Vrednotenje razvojnih učinkov investicije podjetja Lonstroff v Logatcu

Predmet preučevanja magistrskega dela je vrednotenje razvojnih učinkov tuje neposredne investicije v Logatcu na regionalni razvoj občine in širše regije. Za primer preučevanja je bilo izbrano podjetje Lonstroff, ki je del japonske multinacionalke Sumitomo Rubbers. V Logatcu je podjetje začelo obratovati leta 2020 na degradiranem območju nekdanje tovarne Kli. Za vrednotenje razvojnih učinkov smo izhajali iz Pavlínkovega koncepta učinkov, ki temelji na preučevanju povezav in mreženju med ključnimi akterji v gospodarstvu ter prenosu znanj na le-te. V magistrskem delu je predstavljen regionalni razvoj Logatca. Učinki podjetja Lonstroff na regionalni razvoj so bili analizirani s sedmimi dejavniki: povezovanje podjetja z domačimi podjetji, tehnologija in razvoj, trg delovne sile, izvoz, konkurenčnost, povezanost z lokalno skupnostjo in prostorski dejavnik. Dejavniki so opredeljeni s kazalniki, podatki za njih pa so pridobljeni z intervjujema z županom Občine Logatec in predstavnikom podjetja Lonstroff ter iz druge literature in virov. Rezultati so nam pokazali, da se podjetje Lonstroff ne povezuje z lokalnimi dobavitelji in kupci ter posledično ne prenaša znanj in tehnologije na le-te. Podjetje z uspešnim poslovanjem vpliva na trg delovne sile, se aktivno vključuje v lokalno skupnost in prispeva k prostorskemu razvoju občine.

• Title: Evaluation of the developmental effects of the Lonstroff investment in Logatec

Abstract

The subject of the master's thesis is the evaluation of the development effects of foreign direct investment in Logatec on the regional development of the municipality and on the wider region. The company Lonstroff, which is part of the Japanese multinational Sumitomo Rubbers, was chosen as a case study. In Logatec, the company started operating in 2020 in the degraded area of the former Kli factory. For the evaluation of development effects, we started from Pavlínek's concept of effects, which is based on the study of connections and networking between key actors in the economy and the transfer of knowledge to them. The master's thesis presents the regional development of Logatec. The effects of the Lonstroff company on regional development were analyzed through 7 determinatns: connecting the company with domestic companies, technology and development, the labor market, exports, competitiveness, connection with the local community and the spatial determinant. The determinants are defined with indicators, and the data for them are obtained through an interview with the mayor of the municipality and a representative of the company Lonstroff, as well as other literature and sources. The results showed us that the Lonstroff company does not connect with local suppliers and customers and consequently does not transfer knowledge and technology to them. Successfully, the company influences on the labor market, is actively involved in the local community and is a contribution to the spatial development of the municipality.
