Abstract
Zaposlitev s krajšim delovnim časom postaja vedno bolj zanimiva za raziskovanje in pridobiva vedno več privržencev. Lahko predstavlja alternativo štirideseturnemu delovnemu tednu, ki je v veljavi že dobrih sto let. V praksi se pojavljajo različne oblike krajšega delovnega časa in nekaj jih bomo predstavili tudi v diplomskem delu, kjer bodo opisani učinki krajšega delovnega časa v obliki šesturnega delovnega dne in štiridnevnega delovnega tedna. Raziskava je bila izvedena s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika. Zbiranje podatkov je potekalo od 27. 7. 2023 do 14. 8. 2023 in v statistično analizo je bilo vključenih 161 v celoti rešenih anketnih vprašalnikov. Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da bi imela uvedba krajšega delovnega časa v obliki šesturnega delovnega dne in štiridnevnega delovnega tedna, ob upoštevanju, da bi zaposleni ohranili enako višino plače, v večini primerov pozitivne učinke. Prav tako bi v večini primerov uvedba krajšega delovnega časa pozitivno vplivala na motivacijo anketirancev, ki boljše ocenjujejo štiridnevni delovni teden v primerjavi s šesturnim delovnim dnem ob upoštevanju, da bi anketiranci ohranili višino plače. Diplomsko delo predstavlja koristno gradivo za stroko in drugo zainteresirano javnost, saj omogoča vpogled v krajši delovni čas, morebitne učinke ter analizo predhodno opravljenih raziskav in praks krajšega delovnega časa v Sloveniji ter tujini. Rezultati raziskave diplomskega dela pa podajajo zanimive informacije različnim akterjem pri morebitni implementaciji krajšega delovnega časa v javni upravi oziroma morebitni pripravi zakonodaje na tem področju.

Title:Possible effects of shorter working hours on public administration employees in in South-western part of Slovenia
Abstract:
Shorter working hours are increasingly being studied and gaining more and more supporters. It can be an alternative to the 40-hour working week that has been in place for over 100 years. In practice, various forms of shorter working hours are emerging and some of them are presented in the diploma thesis. The effects of shorter working hours in the form of the 6-hour working day and the 4-day working week are also presented in the latter. The diploma thesis research was carried out by means of a questionnaire. Data collection took place from 27 July 2023 to 14 August 2023 and 161 fully completed questionnaires were included in the statistical analysis. The results of the thesis survey show that the introduction of shorter working hours in the form of a 6-hour working day and a 4-day working week, taking into account that employees would keep the same level of pay, would in most cases have positive effects. Also, in most cases, the introduction of shorter working hours would have a positive impact on the motivation of the respondents. The 4-day working week is perceived better than the 6-hour working week, given that respondents would keep the salary level for an 8-hour working week. The diploma thesis is a useful resource for the profession and practice, as well as for other interested public, as it provides an insight into shorter working hours, the potential effects of shorter working hours, and an analysis of previously conducted research and practices of shorter working hours in Slovenia and abroad. The results of the thesis research also provide interesting information for various actors in the possible implementation of shorter working hours in the public administration or in the possible drafting of legislation in this area.
