Abstract
Z izrazom »otroci s posebnimi potrebami« zajemamo izjemno raznoliko skupino otrok, ki vključuje tako invalidne kot neinvalidne otroke. Gre za izjemno raznoliko skupino otrok s širokim naborom potreb, ki lahko omejujejo njihovo funkcioniranje v družbi in sodelovanje v telesni aktivnosti, ter posledično vplivajo na slabšo telesno zmogljivost. Zaradi vseh pozitivnih učinkov, ki jih prinaša dobra telesna zmogljivost, jo je treba obravnavati kot koristen kazalnik zdravja ter otroke že od malega ozaveščati o njeni pomembnosti in pomembnosti gibanja, ter jih spodbujati k zdravim navadam in zdravemu aktivnemu življenjskemu slogu. Eden izmed načinov, kako to doseči je, da jih vključimo v testiranje telesne zmogljivosti. Dandanes obstaja kar nekaj testnih baterij, namenjenih ocenjevanju in spremljanju telesne pripravljenosti, večina pa jih je oblikovana za otroke splošne populacije, kar pa ne pomeni, da jo bodo lahko izvajali tudi otroci s posebnimi potrebami. Glavni cilj magistrske naloge je zato bil omogočiti izvedljivo in veljavno testiranje otrok s posebnimi potrebami, natančneje otrok z motnjami v duševnem razvoju, z okvaro vidne funkcije, gluhim in naglušnim, otrokom s cerebralno paralizo, s poškodbo hrbtenjače in otrokom z dismelijo. Na podlagi pregleda literature smo želeli preučiti njihove telesne in gibalne značilnosti oz. sposobnosti in se podrobneje seznaniti z njihovimi individualnimi značilnostmi in potrebami ter na podlagi teh ustvariti nabor 69 testov, s katerimi bo mogoče preveriti posamezne komponente telesne pripravljenosti in oceniti njihovo telesno zmogljivost. Rezultati posameznih testov naj služijo in se uporabijo predvsem za spodbujanje zdravega načina življenja in razvijanje zdravih navad vsakega posameznika in ne za primerjavo posameznikov med seboj.

Title:Measurement tasks to assess physical and motor development of children with special needs
Abstract:
The term »children with special needs« encompasses an extremely diverse group of children, including both disabled and non-disabled children. It refers to a highly varied group of children with a wide range of needs that may limit their functioning in society and their participation in physical activities, consequently affecting their physical fitness. Due to all the positive effects associated with good physical fitness, it should be regarded as a valuable indicator of health. Children should be made aware of its importance and the significance of physical activity from an early age and encouraged to adopt healthy habits and a healthy active lifestyle. One way to achieve this is by including them in physical fitness testing. Currently, there are several test batteries designed to assess and monitor physical fitness, but most of them are formulated for children in the general population, which may not be suitable for children with special needs. Therefore, the main objective of this master’s thesis was to enable feasible and valid testing for children with special needs, specifically children with intellectual disabilities, visual impairments, hearing impairments, children with cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, and children with dysmelia. Based on a literature review, we examined their physical and motor characteristics or abilities, and gained a deeper understanding of their individual traits and needs. Using this information, we created a set of 69 tests that can evaluate individual components of physical fitness and assess their physical capabilities. The results of these individual tests should primarily serve and be utilised to promote a healthy lifestyle and develop healthy habits for each individual, rather than for comparing individuals against each other.
